Job Requirements

  • U.S. Person status is required as this position needs to access export controlled data
  • high school diploma or GED required
  • 4+ years of experience in shipping and receiving or warehouse operations
  • strong working knowledge of shipping software, ERP/WMS systems, and inventory management
  • proficient with Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel and Outlook
  • excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • strong communication skills and attention to detail
  • ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods
  • additional logistics or supply chain training preferred
  • experience dealing with US customs preferred
  • forklift certification preferred
  • hazardous shipping certification preferred

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Coordinate and execute daily shipping and receiving activities with a focus on efficiency and accuracy
  • inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for damage, discrepancies, and completeness
  • verify shipment documentation including bills of lading, packing slips, and purchase orders
  • prepare, package, and label outbound shipments in compliance with company standards and carrier regulations
  • operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks
  • maintain accurate receiving records in ERP/WMS systems and perform regular audits
  • communicate with internal departments to resolve shipment delays, shortages, or damages
  • coordinate with freight forwarders, carriers, and third-party logistics providers to schedule and monitor outbound shipments
  • train and mentor junior shipping and receiving staff
  • provide leadership and guidance as needed
  • ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and company safety standards and procedures
  • assist with continuous improvement initiatives to streamline shipping/receiving workflows
  • support internal audits and assist with root cause and corrective actions related to shipping/receiving processes
