Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years food and beverage, cash handling and customer service experience
  • At least 6 months supervisory or lead experience
  • Ability to work shifts during various operating days and hours including openings, busy periods and closings
  • Knowledge of federal, state and local sanitary, safety and health standards
  • Ability to follow company policies and procedures
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to manage and motivate associates
  • Comfortable with cash handling
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods and perform manual tasks

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years food and beverage experience
  • Minimum of 6 months supervisory or lead experience in a restaurant or production kitchen
  • Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, correspondence and policy documents
  • Comfortable conversing with customers
  • Knowledge of HACCP standards and health/safety protocols
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Ability to work varied schedules including opening and closing shifts

Job Duties

  • Completes opening, daily and closing procedures/checklists in accordance with company policies/procedures
  • Assists AGM/GM in managing by supervising day-to-day activities of associates within a defined group of restaurants or points-of-sale
  • Participates in the interview process, provides input in hiring, recommends termination, advancement, promotion or other status changes to the GM
  • Assigns work tasks and activities, participates in preparing schedules, ensures all shifts are covered
  • Actively ensures associates take mandated rest breaks and meal periods
  • Ensures display areas are clean, stocked, and visually appealing
  • Ensures all equipment is in good working order
  • Operates cash register and voids transactions as needed following all HMSHost cash handling policies, maintains proper cash security
  • Monitors compliance with wellness and safety procedures, reports safety concerns to GM
  • Performs Health and Safety activities as specified in Manager’s Guide
  • Places orders, receives goods, processes invoices
  • Ensures company has current contact information for all associates
