Job Requirements
- minimum of 16 years old
- ability to lift 50+ pounds
- ability to work in a fast-paced, highly stressed environment
- work with agility
- occasional long hours within state and federal laws
- ability to write simple correspondence in English
- ability to effectively share information one-on-one or in small groups in English
- ability to move freely throughout the store including walk-in refrigerator and freezer with temperatures from 40 degrees F to 10 degrees F
- ability to test products by taste, color, and smell
Job Qualifications
- 0-1 years of experience in the food service industry or equivalent retail experience
- current food handler certification or ability to obtain within 30 days as required by local law
- basic math and reading skills
- ability to understand and carry out instructions in English
- strong guest focus with excellent people skills
- positive can-do attitude and quick learner
- availability to work shifts
- ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers
- compliance with health and sanitation laws
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- experience with computer, smartphones, iPads, retail handhelds, and POS systems preferred
- general knowledge of food industry or retail operations preferred
- background in nutrition highly desirable
Job Duties
- Deliver the ultimate customer service experience and impressions of the Jamba brand
- responsible for customer product and service standards
- follow all company operations policies and procedures
- embody the brand core values of F.I.B.E.R. and B.O.O.S.T. during customer interactions
- clean blenders, small wares, merchandise, and store facilities
- operate food preparation machinery according to age requirements
- stock all supplies as needed
- respond to directions accurately and timely
- adhere to all Jamba food, safety, and security guidelines
- master station operations of the store
- complete Jamba store and company policy trainings
- consistently make and serve all Jamba products to specifications
- follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
- execute proper portion control with all ingredients
- suggest and upsell products professionally to increase profitability
- operate the cash register and handle cash transactions adhering to Jamba Juice policies
- efficiently use the point-of-sale system with accuracy
- serve and provide samples to potential guests
- set up equipment, utensils, and supplies for opening
- break down, clean, and put away equipment at closing
- perform cleaning and maintenance procedures as directed
- comply with uniform policy and hygiene standards
- maintain regular attendance and punctuality
- comply with Fresh Dining Concepts, LLC policies and relevant regulations
