Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in restaurant management or supervisory role
- knowledge of wine and beverage service
- excellent communication skills
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- strong leadership and team coordination skills
- availability to work flexible shifts including nights and weekends
Job Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of proper restaurant service and hospitality
- strong knowledge of food, culinary terms, and the restaurant industry
- strong knowledge of wine, spirits, beer, and other beverages
- excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- ability to coach and develop team members
- strong sense of integrity and professionalism
- experience in hospitality management or related field
- passion for wine and beverage service
Job Duties
- Provide guidance and leadership to the front of house staff by assisting with daily shift operations and coordinating the staff throughout the shift
- employee orientation
- ensure that opening and closing checklists are completed
- provide clear direction and support to your team
- professional handling of the guest relationship including inquiries, complaints, compliments
- over delivery on the guest experience consistently
- stepping into the role of expeditor based on need, business volume, and staffing
- recommending wine and performing wine service for guests at tables and at the bar
- working with back of house leadership to ensure kitchen accountability
- provide constructive feedback to team members
- time management of staff
- constant and ongoing teaching, coaching, and development of staff to ensure standards are upheld
- oversight of execution of service
- maintain a safe and sanitary work environment at all times
- detail opportunities and achievements and communicate to staff and management
- organization and cleanliness of your location
- proper financial management as relates to closing procedures in your location
- attend weekly directional meetings with management to review operations, detail opportunities, and celebrate accomplishments
- ensure all CHG standards are upheld or exceeded
