This job opportunity is with a restaurant independently owned and operated by a franchisee, not directly by Del Taco LLC. As such, the employer for this position is the independent franchisee, who is fully responsible for all employment-related decisions. Job Requirements
- must possess a valid driver's license and proof of vehicle insurance
- 1-2 years experience in quick service restaurant or guest service industry in supervisory or leadership role preferred
- food handlers certification may be required
- ability to stand and walk for 95-100% of shift including ability to bend, reach, lift and carry up to 50 pounds

- 1-2 years of experience in a quick service restaurant environment with demonstrated ability to ensure guest satisfaction
- demonstrated ability to be a leadership partner with management and staff
- ability to handle multiple tasks with effective follow-through
- ability to motivate and lead staff to achieve organizational goals
- general knowledge of computers, POS systems and various software
- ability to perform basic business math skills
- excellent organizational skills for keeping detailed records, reports and logs
- ability to assess and evaluate safety hazards and ensure compliance with OSHA and local safety codes
- ability to communicate and develop effective relationships with colleagues, managers, partners and the public
- ability to implement training and development plans
- ability to read, write and speak effectively in English
- open availability to work any shifts
- ability to perform additional responsibilities as assigned
Job Duties
- supports General Manager in supervising team that delivers effective results in quality, guest service, food cost, labor cost, safety, security, cleanliness and product preparation
- runs shifts and supports the GM in managing execution of all company policies, procedures, programs and systems
- possesses knowledge of all work station functions and paperwork essential for recording and monitoring each job in the restaurant
- supervises 1 to 7 team members
- ensures objectives are reached in all areas while following company guidelines
- ensures compliance during shifts with all federal, state and local laws and ethical business practices
- supports GM in creating and maintaining an 'Employer of Choice' environment
- supports GM in providing leadership, direction, training and development to the restaurant team
- supports GM in supervising and directing the workforce
- supports GM in staffing decisions such as recommending interviews and administering disciplinary action
- delivers effective results in quality, guest service, safety, security, cleanliness and product preparation
- exhibits a cheerful and helpful manner
- explains menu items accurately to guests
- uses POS system to record orders and collect payment
- adheres to food handling, safety and sanitation standards
- follows all company operation policies and procedures
- makes recommendations to enhance restaurant operations
- maintains professional appearance and grooming standards
- attends business meetings for training and development as required
