Job Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Maintain regular and predictable onsite attendance
- Ability to stand and move about for extended periods
- Ability to bend, lift, and twist to move product and assist with merchandising
- Ability to lift and/or transport up to 40 lbs throughout the store
- Occasional overhead lifting and use of ladders or step stools
- Ability to move between sales floor, stockroom, and exterior areas
- Ability to visually inspect product labels, signage, and displays
- Ability to detect and respond to visual cues such as guest gestures and safety hazards
- Occasional exposure to elevated locations, outdoor weather, fumes from cleaning solutions, refrigerated temperatures, and moderate noise levels at work
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 6 months of proven experience or training in a management or leadership role
- At least 2 years of education from a college or technical school in Business Management or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong leadership potential and customer service orientation
Job Duties
- Serve as Manager on Duty in training, open and close the store, and assist the Store Manager and Assistant Manager in overseeing store operations
- Greet each guest upon entry and provide prompt, friendly, and engaging service throughout their visit
- Operate a Point-of-Sale terminal to process guest transactions, including accurate cash handling and applying discounts
- Stay current on training, company policies, and product knowledge to ensure compliance and quality service
- Train, coach, and direct other sales associates when acting as Manager on Duty in training
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment throughout the store
- Assist with daily property upkeep including sweeping, trash removal, and restroom cleaning
- Provide wrapping service for ABC products, assemble gift baskets, and offer carryout service
- Unload and put away weekly truck deliveries and merchandise products per guidelines
- Perform other tasks and projects as assigned by store management
