Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Ability to act as responsible shift leader during store manager absence
- Compliance with cash handling procedures
- Ability to prepare fresh food meeting safety standards
- Must be able to climb a ladder and perform physical tasks such as standing, pushing, pulling, reaching, bending, squatting, climbing, walking, and lifting up to 55 lbs
- Ability to work multiple shifts including 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts
- Adherence to all applicable city, state, and federal laws including restricted sales regulations
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Food safety certifications preferred
- Experience in customer service or retail environments considered a plus
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Basic arithmetic skills for cash and inventory management
- Demonstrated ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Positive attitude with ability to handle stressful situations professionally
Job Duties
- Maintain overall safety during shifts
- Perform all guest service representative shift duties
- Manage shift reconciliation procedures including cash handling and inventory control
- Execute Thorntons food and beverage program maintaining food safety and quality standards
- Provide training and coaching to team members on standard procedures and food safety
- Ensure adherence to company policies such as meal and rest break compliance
- Assign work and delegate tasks during shifts in the absence of store management
