  • Basic math skills for handling cash and payroll support

Job Duties

  • Assists management in monitoring day-to-day activities of team members
  • Assigns responsibilities to team members before and throughout the shift
  • Manages multiple priorities and acts quickly and effectively while maintaining self-composure
  • Models and acts in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles
  • Supports Store Manager in ordering, scheduling, payroll, and accounting
  • Takes and fills customer orders, providing quality beverages, whole bean, and food products that meet all recipe and presentation standards
  • Drives for result with ongoing promotions and achieving store goals
  • Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep store operating to standard and set a positive example for the shift team
  • Executes store operations during scheduled shifts including opening and closing duties
  • Follows Starbucks operational policies and procedures including those for cash handling and safety
  • Ensures cleanliness and smooth operation of the store and public restrooms
  • Knows when to escalate situations for management intervention
  • Completes other tasks based on business needs
