Job Requirements

  • At least 5 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field
  • Hold and maintain necessary certifications including Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, CPR and First Aid
  • Proficient in Windows operating systems and company-approved software
  • Ability to manage stressful and high-pressure situations effectively
  • Demonstrated supervisory skills preferred
  • Strong communication abilities
  • Ability to analyze information and solve problems quickly
  • Capability to work collaboratively within diverse teams

Job Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field
  • 2-year college degree with 3 or more years of related experience or a 4-year degree with 1 to 2 years of experience or a culinary degree with 1 to 2 years of progressive hotel experience
  • Hold and maintain applicable certifications including Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, CPR and First Aid
  • Proficient in Windows OS, company-approved spreadsheets and word processing
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Ability to convey information clearly
  • Ability to evaluate and select among alternative actions quickly and accurately
  • Ability to work well in high pressure situations
  • Ability to maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
  • Effective in handling workplace problems and resolving concerns
  • Ability to assimilate complex information from various sources
  • Effective listening and communication skills
  • Ability to understand financial information and perform basic arithmetic

Job Duties

  • Assist in providing oversight of kitchen staff and banquet operations
  • Work towards improving cafe, room service, lounge, and banquet sales revenues
  • Understand the general organization and function of each hotel department
  • Communicate in a timely and efficient manner
  • Assist the Food and Beverage Director with forecasting and budgeting
  • Maintain professional relationships and open communication with managers and employees
  • Stay knowledgeable about local competition and industry trends
