Job Requirements
- At least 5 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field
- Hold and maintain necessary certifications including Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, CPR and First Aid
- Proficient in Windows operating systems and company-approved software
- Ability to manage stressful and high-pressure situations effectively
- Demonstrated supervisory skills preferred
- Strong communication abilities
- Ability to analyze information and solve problems quickly
- Capability to work collaboratively within diverse teams
Job Qualifications
- At least 5 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field
- 2-year college degree with 3 or more years of related experience or a 4-year degree with 1 to 2 years of experience or a culinary degree with 1 to 2 years of progressive hotel experience
- Hold and maintain applicable certifications including Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, CPR and First Aid
- Proficient in Windows OS, company-approved spreadsheets and word processing
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Ability to convey information clearly
- Ability to evaluate and select among alternative actions quickly and accurately
- Ability to work well in high pressure situations
- Ability to maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
- Effective in handling workplace problems and resolving concerns
- Ability to assimilate complex information from various sources
- Effective listening and communication skills
- Ability to understand financial information and perform basic arithmetic
Job Duties
- Assist in providing oversight of kitchen staff and banquet operations
- Work towards improving cafe, room service, lounge, and banquet sales revenues
- Understand the general organization and function of each hotel department
- Communicate in a timely and efficient manner
- Assist the Food and Beverage Director with forecasting and budgeting
- Maintain professional relationships and open communication with managers and employees
- Stay knowledgeable about local competition and industry trends
