Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business or hospitality management preferred
- Applicable associate’s degree with experience required
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of progressive front office management experience in large hotels
- Experience in hotels with 500 plus rooms and meeting space preferred
- OnQ property management system certification preferred
- Ability to lead and direct work of full-time associates
- Strong administrative, executive, and professional skills
- Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgement
- Willingness to work required hours to complete job responsibilities
- Certification to respond to emergencies
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business or hospitality management with at least 5 years of progressive front office management experience in a 500 plus room hotel with meeting space preferred
- Applicable associate’s degree with at least 3 years of front office management experience required
- Specific brand experience and OnQ PMS certification preferred
- Previous director level experience preferred
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Strong knowledge of hotel front office operations and guest service standards
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions
Job Duties
- Directs and administers all guest services operations including guest service and registration check-in check-out, room inventory and availability management, guest service standards and initiatives, product quality assurance, cost control and financial profitability, implements brand marketing initiatives developed by the revenue team, manages systems use and oversight, budgeting and forecasting, department management, policy and procedure enforcement, participates in meetings and facilitates communication
- Monitors and develops associate performance through supervision, professional development, scheduling, counseling, evaluations, and recognition programs
- Assesses guest service and satisfaction trends, evaluates issues, and implements service improvements
- Initiates and implements marketing and up-selling techniques to maximize room occupancy and overall revenue
- Implements and monitors all corporate marketing programs
- Ensures associates possess current knowledge of hotel products, services, facilities, events, pricing, policies, and local area information
- Runs and completes daily operational reports, analyzes data, and makes data-driven decisions
- Resolves guest issues and concerns to ensure guest satisfaction
- Recruits, interviews, and trains associates
- Participates in the Property Manager on Duty program
- Certified to respond to emergencies, including operation of the fire panel and communication with emergency personnel
- Completes assigned tasks or projects as required
