Job Requirements
- 1-2 years prior fine dining experience preferred
- must obtain TABC and Food Handlers Certification prior to beginning work
- must be reliable and responsible
- must have basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette
- knowledge of the appropriate table settings, service ware, and menu items
- ability to read, write, and speak in English sufficient to understand menus, special promotions, record orders, and communicate with guests to explain
- ability to remember, recite, and promote a variety of menu items
- ability to operate beverage equipment
- ability to operate a keyboard and learn the POS system
- ability to transport large trays weighing up to 30 pounds through a crowded room on a continuous basis throughout the shift
- ability to move or push goods on a hand card weighing a maximum of 200 pounds
- ability to stand, and/or walk continuously throughout shift
- ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, and kneeling
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Check station before, during, and after shift for proper set-up and cleanliness
- greet guests in a friendly and courteous manner and explain any specials or restaurant promotions for guest awareness
- record the details of the order from the guests, repeating the order to the guest to check for accuracy
- when complete, retrieve order from the kitchen, confirming its accuracy, lift, and deliver it to the guests along with appropriate condiments
- replenish beverages as necessary and check with guests for overall satisfaction
- market and serve any dessert items, or specialty coffees
- assist the server assistants in clearing and resetting the tables
- perform all side work including replenishing condiments and restocking side stands
- any and all other duties as assigned
- duties are subject to change as management deems necessary to best serve the needs of Moody Gardens
