Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to maintain required mandatory immunizations and credentialing based on customer requirements
  • Ability to work an agreed upon standard schedule with flexibility for additional hours
  • Must be insurable under company liability insurance policy
  • Willingness and ability to travel to domestic facilities as needed
  • Physical ability to perform labor-intensive tasks including handling objects less than 50 pounds
  • Commitment to following safety procedures and wearing personal protective equipment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Ability to maintain required mandatory immunizations and credentialing based on customer requirements
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
  • Basic understanding of regulatory compliance related to medical waste
  • Physical ability to perform labor-intensive activities such as walking long distances while pushing/pulling service carts

Job Duties

  • Ensures waste types are properly segregated, regulatory shipment windows are met, proper container labeling is adhered to, good housekeeping is maintained, and accurate tracking logs are kept
  • Travel between customer healthcare facilities to proactively monitor, collect, and exchange waste containers for various Sharps and Pharmaceutical Management Systems
  • Interacts professionally with onsite customer staff to ensure service expectations are met or exceeded
  • Maintains a rigid collection and service schedule
  • Communicates duty status on a defined schedule
  • Participates and cooperates in safety process, including following written procedures, attending required training and scheduled meetings
  • Maintains a minimal amount of manifest errors
