Job Requirements

  • Be 18 years of age and eligible to work in the United States
  • Pass a background check and clear a drug screen
  • Be able to stand for the full duration of the shift
  • Be available to work in a 38-degree cold room when necessary
  • Be a team player and able to work well with a diverse team
  • Ability to comprehend verbal and written specifications in English
  • Possess basic math skills
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule in a 24-hour operation, 7 days a week
  • Willingness to pay union dues after 60 days
  • Available to work full-time including weekends and holidays as needed
  • Ability to complete application and orientation in English
  • Ability to lift 25+ pounds occasionally, 50+ pounds frequently, and 10+ pounds consistently
  • Ability to bend, stoop, twist repeatedly, and stand for 8 to 12 hours a day

  • Comfortable working in refrigerated areas

Job Duties

  • Understand and fill requisition sheets for equipment and food
  • Decant ingredients as required
  • Kit all ingredients based on airline menu specifications
  • Deliver items by cart and by hand to food prep stations
  • Follow runner routes and understand individual work cell designs
  • Have full understanding of the KAN BAN system
  • Read and understand master production schedules (MPS) and volume production schedules (VPS)
  • Lift 30 to 40 pounds to shoulder height
