Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent degree
  • 1-2 years prior retail experience in an apparel or specialty store environment
  • Prior experience with computerized POS system
  • Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods
  • Ability to bend, twist, and lift or move up to 10 pounds
  • Manual dexterity to perform tasks such as using POS terminals and steaming garments
  • Ability to communicate clearly with customers
  • Flexibility to work weekends
  • Able to maintain dress code standards

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent degree
  • 1-2 years prior retail experience in an apparel or specialty store environment
  • Prior sewing experience is helpful
  • Prior experience with computerized POS system
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage customer interactions effectively
  • Customer service orientation
  • Ability to work collaboratively with team members
  • Good organizational skills

Job Duties

  • Welcome all customers with genuine and friendly enthusiasm over the phone, virtual chats and in person
  • Use all systems to manage the customer flow to deliver five-star customer experience
  • Meet all service vows including Prepare, Welcome, Meet Needs and Be There for all customers, including operational checklist tasks
  • Provide exceptional service experience to multiple customers at one time and contribute to store achievement of five-star customer service
  • Proactively address customer concerns with confidence and escalate when necessary
  • Communicate how alterations play an important role in perfecting dresses
  • Promote all alterations services and personalization options
  • Maintain store standards including cleanliness, organization, promotional readiness and store recovery
  • Maintain high dress code standards as required
  • Greet and escort all alterations customers to and from alterations for appointments
  • Press, steam, and spot clean merchandise
  • Follow quality control guidelines and inspect all garments altered, steamed or pressed
  • Build long-term relationships to meet and exceed customer satisfaction and loyalty
  • Support inventory management by processing special orders, pick-ups and first quality standards for merchandise
  • Support cash wrap behaviors and process transactions accurately
  • Seek assistance from the Alterations Manager to resolve customer issues
  • Maintain a clean and well-organized alterations room
  • Perform duties and tasks as assigned by store management
