Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent degree
  • 1-2 years prior retail experience in an apparel or specialty store environment
  • prior sewing experience is helpful
  • prior experience with computerized POS system
  • ability to stand, walk and sit for extended periods
  • capable of reaching, climbing stairs, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling
  • ability to bend, twist and stand
  • manual dexterity for sewing, steaming and handling POS
  • ability to lift or move up to 10 pounds
  • good vision and ability to use computers and phones for long periods

Job Duties

  • Welcome all customers with genuine and friendly enthusiasm over the phone, virtual chats and in person
  • use all systems to manage the customer flow to deliver five-star customer experience
  • meet all service vows including prepare, welcome, meet needs and be there for all customers
  • provide exceptional service experience to multiple customers at one time and contribute to store achievement of five-star customer service
  • effectively communicate the importance of alterations in partnership with alterations team
  • promote all alterations services and personalization options
  • maintain store standards including clean, organized, promotional readiness and store recovery
  • maintain high dress code standards as required by policy
  • greet and escort all alterations customers to and from appointments
  • press, steam and spot clean all merchandise
  • follow quality control guidelines and inspect all garments before final delivery
  • build long-term relationships to exceed customer satisfaction and loyalty
  • support inventory management by processing special orders, pickups and quality standards
  • support cash wrap behaviors and process transactions accurately
  • seek assistance from alterations manager to resolve customer issues beyond own ability
  • maintain a clean and organized alterations room
  • perform additional duties as assigned by store management
