Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree
  • Minimum 6 months experience as Set-up Attendant or comparable position in multi-purpose facility, hotel or related operation preferred
  • Experience in providing customer service directly to customers
  • Ability to demonstrate basic setup techniques
  • Ability to bend, stand and stoop for long periods
  • Ability to work an irregular work schedule
  • Strong communication skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure with limited resources

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Maintain a professional image representing the Georgia World Congress Center Authority philosophy
  • Lift moderate weights such as tables, chairs, staging and dance floor panels
  • Push equipment carts, door panels, and staging units
  • Follow written and verbal instructions
  • Assume responsibility for assigned equipment like two-way radios, keys, and tapes
  • Maintain equipment according to established setup procedures
  • Keep all storage rooms clean and orderly
  • Notify Operations Manager or Coordinators of equipment and facility repair needs
  • Notify Operations Manager or Coordinators of supply replenishment requirements
  • Supervise part-time and contracted staff as required
  • Complete daily assignments and cooperate with departmental personnel
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Operations Manager or Coordinators
