Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in mechanical or automotive repair
  • Ability to use various hand and power tools
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to follow safety procedures
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor including lifting and operating equipment
  • Own tools required

  • Ability to use hand and power tools effectively
  • Knowledge of safety standards and procedures

Job Duties

  • Use hand tools and power tools to perform maintenance and repair of vehicles and equipment
  • Complete all daily tasks assigned by the Operations Manager
  • Assist in setting up and dispatching vehicles and equipment to customers
  • Follow company service procedures and safety practices
  • Perform regular inspections of equipment for safety compliance and maintenance-related defects
  • Immediately report damaged equipment to the Operations Manager
  • Replace solid and pneumatic tires as needed
  • Recover disabled equipment
  • Clean inside and outside of tractor regularly
  • Add oil and gasoline and inspect for damage
  • Dispatch and retrieve terminal tractors and trailers for customers
  • Document work hours and parts utilized
  • Comply with company and agency policies and maintain a safe work environment
  • Wear required personal protective equipment
  • Provide own tools
