Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of relevant maintenance experience
  • ability to perform maintenance and repair tasks safely and efficiently
  • knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry repairs
  • valid driver’s license and ability to operate motorized vehicles
  • strong communication skills in English
  • physical ability to perform labor-intensive tasks
  • adherence to safety protocols and company policies
  • willingness to work flexible hours and respond to emergency repair requests
  • commitment to customer service excellence
  • ability to read and document work instructions and service requests accurately

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred
  • 1-3 years experience performing maintenance duties
  • multi-family maintenance experience helpful
  • HVAC and CPO certification preferred
  • capacity to read, write, and speak English effectively
  • ability to understand work instructions and service requests
  • accurate measurement and basic arithmetic skills
  • general computer skills in Microsoft Office and property management software
  • ability to operate maintenance equipment including hand tools, power tools, snow and ice removal equipment, and landscaping machinery
  • safely use chemicals and cleaning supplies
  • proficient in operating motorized vehicles such as cars, trucks, vans, and golf carts

Job Duties

  • Assist in organizing and performing general duties
  • preventative maintenance and repairs consistent with operating and safety standards
  • thoroughly inspect vacated apartments and document necessary renovations
  • re-inspect completed units for quality and presentation
  • routinely perform duties to restore apartments to "make ready" status
  • respond to problems with successful repairs including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliances, carpentry, emergency systems, flooring, hardware, masonry, painting, drywall, pools and water features
  • inspect community grounds and buildings for safety and maintenance projects
  • respond to resident requests in a timely manner
  • deliver excellent customer service
  • promote safe work practices among on-site team
  • ensure compliance with federal, state and local laws
  • consistently abide by Fair Housing regulations
  • address and complete all other duties as assigned
  • embody the company mission, values, and brand promise
