Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Service or maintenance technician experience
  • Knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, electrical and carpentry
  • Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation
  • Ability to work on an on-call basis
  • Physical capability to safely use manual and power tools up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to lift, set-up and climb ladders and scaffolding up to 125 pounds and 40 feet
  • Ability to transport and set-up heavy equipment and materials up to 250 pounds

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Service or maintenance technician experience, multifamily industry preferred
  • Knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, electrical and carpentry
  • HVAC certification preferred
  • CPO certification desired if required in the state
  • Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation

Job Duties

  • Complete assigned work orders generated from residents’ requests for service
  • Complete make-ready process to prepare vacant apartment homes for leasing and new move-ins
  • Follow procedures for accessing and obtaining materials, supplies, equipment, tools, and other items from the property’s maintenance shop
  • Complete documentation and other paperwork in a timely, accurate, and complete fashion
  • Assist in maintaining the grounds, common areas, and amenities by picking up trash and debris, pressure washing breezeways and pool areas, performing general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage as needed
  • Periodically inspect work performed by contractors, vendors, and other service providers to verify quality standards
  • Comply with company safety and risk-management policies
  • Demonstrate customer service skills by treating residents with respect and responding sensitively to complaints
  • Assist in conducting routine and periodic inspections to identify safety and risk management concerns
  • Ability to work on an on-call basis, including weekends and nights
