Job Requirements
- Complies with all policies, standards, mandatory training and requirements of Stormont Vail Health
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Ability to do repetitive motions
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple instructions
- Ability to deal with standardized situations
- Ability to respect patient confidentiality and rights
Job Qualifications
- Experience in a service industry preferred
- Experience working in a hospital preferred
- Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words
- Ability to recognize similarities and differences between words and series of numbers
- Ability to print and speak simple sentences
- Ability to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions
- Ability to handle repetitive motions
- Understands and respects patient rights including confidentiality
- Adheres to all policies, dress code, and attendance requirements
Job Duties
- Performs daily cleaning of patient rooms, offices, restrooms, shared spaces, and floors
- Cleans and maintains equipment
- Handles hazardous waste properly
- Handles, stores, and dilutes chemicals as necessary
- Performs area and room setup and dismantling
