Job Requirements
- Possession of Oregon Liquor and Cannabis Commission Alcohol Service Permit
- Possession of Oregon Food Handlers Card
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Ability to stand for long periods up to eight hours
- Availability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to follow instructions and work under manager supervision
- Physical ability to perform cleaning and restocking tasks
Job Qualifications
- No previous restaurant experience required
- Able to work effectively in a standing position for up to eight hours
- Clear, professional, and effective communication skills with guests
- Possession of Oregon Liquor and Cannabis Commission Alcohol Service Permit
- Possession of Oregon Food Handlers Card
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Willingness to assist in various support roles within the restaurant
- Commitment to providing excellent customer service
- Familiarity with restaurant floor layouts and guest service flow preferred
Job Duties
- Warmly and graciously greet all guests upon arrival
- Obtain service area assignment at the beginning of each shift
- Pre-bus finished plates in front of guests and offer to box leftovers
- Clear tables after guests leave and place tableware for washing
- Circle/check the entire dining area and clean as required
- Respond appropriately to guest requests and communicate to server or manager
- Become fluent in understanding the restaurant's table and seating numbers
- Assist bartenders with food delivery, refills of non-alcoholic beverages, restocking, clearing and cleaning
- Maintain bus-tubs, glass racks, and restock glassware
- Fill in as needed to ensure smooth and efficient operation
- Record guest names and party size when seating is limited and provide waiting times
- Maintain clean menus, tables, kid's toys, floors, bathrooms, and retail area
- Relay messages to managers as needed
- Make sure expo area is ready and stocked at the beginning of each shift
- Use knives to cut celery, lemons, scallions, etc.
- Assist head of house with prep and bringing products to line
- Keep up with expo screen and double-check food quality and plate cleanliness
- Carry service trays and deliver food to tables
- Cover expo window if needed
- Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return
- Inspect assigned restrooms and clean every 30 minutes
- Maintain floor, vestibule and outside areas with spot sweeps
- Check restaurant exterior for debris every 30 minutes
