Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • driver’s license and ability to meet insurance requirements is not required but is highly preferred
  • proven mechanical aptitude and dexterity with tools and shop equipment
  • ability to operate cleaning equipment
  • knowledge of shop safety policies and basic hand tool operation
  • ability to understand written directions and formulas to mix cleaning solutions and chemicals
  • resourceful, collaborative team player who also thrives independently
  • must participate in a pre-employment background check, physical, and drug screen

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED

  • fork truck certification and/or heavy equipment operating experience is a plus
  • proven mechanical aptitude and dexterity with tools and shop equipment
  • ability to operate cleaning equipment is essential
  • knowledge of shop safety policies and basic hand tool operation
  • ability to understand written directions and formulas to mix cleaning solutions and chemicals
  • resourceful, collaborative team player who also thrives independently and can prioritize multiple projects with strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
  • must participate in a pre-employment background check, physical, and drug screen

Job Duties

  • Maintain a clean and organized shop and dealership grounds to ensure a safe workspace for everyone
  • develop and stick to a maintenance checklist for regular tasks
  • sort and haul recyclables, scrap metal, and refuse to the appropriate disposal areas
  • keep an eye on waste fluid and metal containers and coordinate disposal with vendors when needed
  • sweep, mop, scrub floors, and clean storage areas, workbenches, and other surfaces
  • clean and maintain essential shop equipment including flywheel machines, sandblasters, forklifts, shop presses, wheel lifts, and alignment machines
  • assist service technicians with tasks to help them complete their work safely and efficiently
  • deliver parts to bays as needed to support technicians working on critical repairs
