Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- current, valid commercial driver's license in good standing
- clean driving record
- ability to perform physically demanding work including lifting up to 50 pounds, standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching
- ability to handle environmental exposure to noise, dust, exhaust fumes and other materials
- ability to climb in and out of vehicles and use ladders
- pass pre-employment drug screening
Job Qualifications
- ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
- high school diploma or the equivalent
- current, valid commercial driver's license in good standing
- clean driving record
- general knowledge of mechanical components of class 7 and 8 trucks
- familiarity with trucking industry and requirements for transporting class 7 and 8 tractors and trucks within and between different states
- working knowledge of the federal highway system
- excellent organization, communication, and driving skills
Job Duties
- maintains a current and valid commercial driver's license for class 7 and 8 tractors and trucks
- maintains an excellent driving record and completes all requirements for keeping CDL in good standing including physical exams, drug tests, driver's logbook
- maintains courteous and continuing relations with port authorities, highway patrol, departments of transportation and motor vehicles in the course of this employment
- deliver trucks to customers
- be available for pickup and delivery of units as needed
- perform outside maintenance as needed on a daily or weekly basis including sweeping, trash pickup, and snow removal
- perform minor repairs including shop machines or tools, wall repair, painting, lights, windows, doors, desks or other facility repairs
- assist management with operations as needed
