Job Requirements

  • Current alcohol and food certification that meets state requirements or willingness to obtain
  • Ability to stand and walk for up to ten or more hours
  • Ability to lift 30-50 pounds
  • Ability to perform motions involving pushing, pulling, stretching, and continuous bilateral hand and wrist use
  • Willingness to work late nights, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to perform all restaurant level functions
  • Ability to work approximately 50-55 hours per week
  • Physical stamina for prolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting, lifting products and supplies weighing up to 45 pounds
  • Capable of repetitive hand and wrist motions

Job Qualifications

  • At least 2 years experience as a full-service bar/restaurant manager
  • Minimum 1 year experience scheduling and managing labor
  • Knowledge of computers including MS Word and Excel
  • Proficient in food planning and preparation, purchasing, sanitation, security, cost accounting, budgeting, financial planning and strategy
  • Strong decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to think like an owner and accept feedback
  • Passion for the bar/restaurant experience with a guest-first mindset
  • Outstanding leadership and team-building skills

Job Duties

  • Responsible for hiring, training and retaining the best talent in the industry
  • Executes training and development of team members through orientations, ongoing feedback, and establishment of performance expectations and by conducting performance reviews regularly
  • Enforces policies and procedures and follows disciplinary action standards
  • Ensures that legal and company standards are met and follows up quickly on all employee complaints
  • Ensure safety standards are communicated to and followed by team members each shift
  • Responsible for training team members in cleanliness and sanitation practices
  • Lead by example as a role model for great performance
  • Ensures all financial and administrative duties are completed accurately and on time
  • Schedules labor according to anticipated business activity
  • Controls labor cost by scheduling and assigning employees and following up on work results
  • Maintains operations by executing policies, procedures, and system improvements
  • Monitors, evaluates, and audits food, beverage, and service offerings to maintain guest satisfaction and initiates improvements
  • Maintains safety, security, and sanitation standards complying with legal regulations
  • Ensures all food and products are prepared and served according to restaurant standards
  • Responsible for ordering products to meet specifications and policies
  • Controls food and liquor cost and usage by following requisition, storage, and waste control procedures
