Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record preferred
  • Minimum of two years of experience in automotive or RV service department preferred
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
  • Excellent communication and managerial skills
  • Ability to operate the department profitably within dealership guidelines
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations relevant to daily operations
  • Ability to use computer and office equipment
  • Ability to handle exposure to mechanical parts, high places, fumes, toxic chemicals
  • Ability to work in moderate noise levels
  • Ability to bend, sit for long periods, and lift at least 50 pounds

  • Ability to withstand moderate noise levels in the work environment
  • Ability to bend or sit for long periods of time
  • Ability to reach above shoulders and lift a minimum of 50 pounds

Job Duties

  • Directly supervises one or more employees in the service department
  • Responsible to maintain all autos, golf carts, tractors, and all other machinery owned by the company
  • Responsible for the inventory, ordering and delivery of all necessary supplies and equipment for the service department
  • Assisting in the disciplinary or promotional recommendations required for all service personnel
  • Responsible for insuring OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health Act) standards and company safety policies are complied with at all times
  • Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals
  • Responsible for courteous, efficient response at all times
  • Responsible for thorough knowledge of management company policies
