Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in food service or hospitality management preferred
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to providing excellent customer service

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8-10 hours per day)
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 40 pounds (e.g., food trays, beverage containers, catering equipment)
  • Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and kneeling during service and event setup/breakdown
  • Ability to navigate multiple campus locations, including stairs and outdoor areas
  • Manual dexterity to operate catering equipment, kitchen tools, and digital systems (POS, tablets, etc.)
  • Ability to taste and smell food and beverages for quality assurance
  • Comfortable working in environments with varying temperatures (kitchens, outdoor events, transport vehicles)
  • Visual and auditory acuity to monitor service quality and communicate effectively with staff and guests

Job Duties

  • Lead and maintain high standards of customer service across all dining locations and events
  • Supervise, train, schedule, and evaluate service staff, promoting teamwork, professionalism, and accountability
  • Ensure compliance with service policies, procedures, and quality standards
  • Monitor service flow and dining operations to ensure efficiency and guest satisfaction
  • Address guest questions, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally, using strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
  • Collaborate with culinary and procurement teams to manage service-related inventory, ensuring adequate supply levels and minimizing waste
  • Support special events, catering functions, and peak service periods as needed
