- determine the nature of callers' business and direct them appropriately
- answer basic inquiries and provide information
- route incoming calls and take messages
- schedule appointments for the service department
- perform next-day follow-up calls on missed appointments
- report all credit card, check, and cash receipts finalized at the end of the day
