Job Requirements

  • 1-2 years experience working in a bar/bartender setting
  • Knowledge of basic drink recipes and bar operations
  • Ability to communicate effectively, problem solve and make decisions with little guidance
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, some holidays, and all Atlanta Hawks home games during the season
  • Ability to stand and move extensively throughout the venue
  • Must adhere to all liquor laws and company policies

Job Qualifications

  • Stand for long periods of time and be able to actively engage physically with guests
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proven bartending experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Conflict resolution and de-escalation skills
  • Ability to build rapport and work well with others
  • Demonstrate physical stamina and agility required to be mobile for long periods of time throughout the day
  • Lift/move materials and equipment up to 50 pounds

Job Duties

  • Adhere to state, federal and corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests
  • Set up assigned bars
  • requisition and stock all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments, glassware, ice and produce
  • Maintain stock, prepare, cure and store all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables to ensure product quality
  • Greet guests in a courteous, friendly manner
  • Take and/or process orders for drinks
  • mix, garnish and present drinks using standard ingredient recipes
  • practice prudent portion control
  • Check guests at the bar for proper identification
  • Detect and act upon guest inebriation as trained
  • demonstrate knowledge of liquor laws
  • Receive cash from guests, make change, verify validity of charges, record charges and ensure vouchers are properly executed
  • Lock up and store all beverage product, food, equipment items, deposits and cash drops

  • Perform general cleaning tasks to adhere to health and safety standards

  • Arrange bottles and glasses to maintain an attractive display in the bar area
