Job Duties

  • Welcomes, directs, and assists patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
  • drives guest vehicles safely between designated parking areas and return locations
  • operates motor vehicles in compliance with New Jersey motor vehicle laws
  • assists guests with wheelchairs and vehicle entry and exit as needed
  • documents vehicle tag information and key storage locations accurately
  • ensures vehicles are returned in the same condition received
  • maintains clear staging areas and smooth traffic flow
  • directs emergency vehicles and manages pedestrian traffic during emergencies
  • investigates and reports parking accidents and informs security and supervisors
  • transports outpatients to and from home and hospital departments
  • completes and submits daily logs related to patient pick-up and fuel usage
  • keeps vehicles clean, fueled, and maintained
  • processes parking garage traffic and coordinates cash and coupon transactions
  • troubleshoots equipment malfunctions including registers and gate equipment
  • collects wheelchairs and coordinates with guest services
  • maintains work areas clean and safe
  • completes risk reports for unusual incidents
  • provides customer service tailored to patients’ varied needs including age, culture, and disabilities
  • completes all shift procedures to ensure consistent service
  • adheres to hospital organizational competencies.
