Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in food service or related field
  • availability to work weekdays and every other weekend
  • ability to perform physical tasks related to serving such as standing for long periods, carrying trays and setting tables
  • excellent interpersonal skills
  • adherence to hygiene and safety standards

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in restaurants, diners, pubs, bars, banquet serving, senior living communities, food service at malls, fast food restaurants, catering companies or events
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • ability to work day and evening shifts including weekends
  • strong customer service and communication skills
  • ability to follow dietary guidelines
  • professionalism in conduct and appearance

Job Duties

  • Exemplify cleanliness, sanitation, and organization standards
  • adhere to food quality, appearance, and presentation standards
  • maintain dining room appearance and presentation
  • demonstrate speed, accuracy, and efficiency in serving
  • set tables and maintain workstations
  • take orders and provide courteous service
  • clear and reset tables, assist with dishwashing
  • serve customers with proper etiquette and promote an inviting atmosphere
  • know and serve diets correctly according to policy
  • represent community positively
  • support business decisions to drive revenue and occupancy
