Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- obtain Food Handlers Permit
- ability to work flexible hours including full-time or part-time shifts
- physical capability to stand for extended periods and carry trays
- prior experience in food service preferred but not mandatory
- excellent communication skills
- pass criminal background check
- meet health and safety standards
Job Qualifications
- must be able to read, write and follow oral and written directions at a level necessary to accomplish the job
- obtain Food Handlers Permit as required by State regulations
- demonstrate compassion for and desire to work with seniors
- perform job duties in a courteous and professional manner
- work effectively as part of a dietary team
- maintain honesty, fairness, dependability, and respect confidentiality and privacy rights
- communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, vendors, and the public
- meet all health requirements
- pass criminal background check
Job Duties
- deliver meals to residents and guests in a timely manner and on schedule
- provide first-class customer service to residents and guests
- collaborate with dietary team members to ensure an efficient and safe kitchen operation
- maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas
- follow all health and safety regulations including food handling procedures
- communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, and vendors
- report any issues or concerns promptly to supervisory staff
