Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- one or more years of experience in food service or direct customer service preferred
- ability to work rotating shifts including 10:30am to 7:00pm or 4:00pm to 7:30pm
- current State of Washington Food Handler's permit
- strong interpersonal and communication skills
- ability to tolerate and professionally manage aggressive or difficult behaviors
- basic reading and writing proficiency in English
- willingness to comply with HACCP guidelines
- physical ability to perform service duties such as setting and clearing tables
Job Qualifications
- Excellent customer service orientation and pleasant, cheerful disposition
- reliable with good accuracy and attention to detail
- one or more years of experience in food service or direct customer interaction preferred
- patience and genuine caring attitude toward elderly and disabled persons
- ability to handle aggressive or angry behavior calmly
- basic knowledge of therapeutic diets
- knowledge of sanitary practices and HACCP guidelines
- ability to read and write menu items in English
- current State of Washington Food Handler's permit
- demonstrated skill and experience related to dining service duties
Job Duties
- Set tables in an attractive manner prior to meal services
- serve food and beverages to residents, guests, and staff professionally
- clear tables and clean dining areas promptly after use
- provide information about menu items and meal services
- respond to customer comments and concerns regarding food service
- maintain awareness of therapeutic diets and sanitation practices
- assist in diffusing difficult situations with patience and care
