Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of two years experience in front waiter role with fine dining and banquet service
  • Minimum of one year experience selling and serving wine and beverages
  • Ability to work onboard a cruise ship and adapt to shipboard living
  • Able to work seven days a week
  • Must maintain professional appearance and hygiene

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years experience as a front waiter with fine dining and banquet service experience in a 3-4 star land-based hotel or resort, free-standing restaurant with at least 180 seats, or similar shipboard experience
  • Minimum of one year experience selling and serving wine and other beverage products
  • Passionate about hospitality and customer service driven
  • Professional appearance and good hygiene
  • Respectful to co-workers and guests
  • Able to work seven days a week

Job Duties

  • Assist with achieving departmental guest satisfaction targets and food and beverage revenues by following established service strategies and optimizing up-sell opportunities
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or as directed
  • Be familiar with the Safety and Environmental Protection Policy and the SEMS, and carry out the policies and procedures appropriate for the position
  • Ensure that assigned station is properly cleaned and set-up at the end of the meal period and all assigned side-work is complete
  • Comply with sequence of service for food and beverage while directing and instructing Assistant Waiters to ensure timeliness of service
  • Resolve any service or product deficiencies that may occur to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Perform other jobs as assigned including manning buffet action stations, delivering amenities, assisting with room service, private parties, and training
