Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years experience working as a food server in a full service restaurant concept or related restaurant experience
  • Food safety and BASSET certification
  • Ability to focus on guest needs
  • Ability to use POS systems preferred
  • Leadership role experience in the restaurant industry preferred

Job Duties

  • Warmly greets guests after seating within the established company standard
  • Serve guests per established Steps of Service standards
  • Assist other servers and team members in a team environment
  • Participate in team service
  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of food and drink offerings including specials and promotions
  • Provide suggestive selling by answering guest questions
  • Follow company procedures for guest age verification for alcohol sales
  • Ensure all food and beverages meet company quality and presentation standards and notify management of any deviations
  • Follow all cash handling procedures
  • Complete pre-shift, running shift, and post-shift setup, prep, cleaning, and stocking
  • Alert management if a guest appears intoxicated and should be refused service
  • Maintain good working knowledge of restaurant operations and policies
  • Resolve guest complaints or escalate to management
  • Acknowledge guests upon departure and invite them to return
  • Maintain cleanliness and report deficiencies in dining and service areas
  • Ensure a harassment-free environment
  • Uphold safety and security standards at all times
  • Complete assigned cleaning projects
  • Maintain professional appearance and uniform standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the manager
