Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior experience in washing dishes and general cleaning of industrial or restaurant kitchens
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Flexibility, adaptability and a great attitude
  • Obtain and hold any local, state and/or county required food handling and sanitation licenses and/or certificates
  • Must possess a valid First Aid Certification and be available for on-call emergency situations and weekend coverage on a rotating basis
  • Ability to understand and follow directions
  • Ability to understand and meet standards for health, safety, and excellence

Job Duties

  • Take beverage and meal orders from residents according to standards
  • Coordinate with the kitchen for timely meal preparation and service
  • Address any issues or concerns raised by residents promptly
  • Maintain all safety and sanitation rules and regulations
  • Clean floors, empty trash cans, and stock food supplies
  • Wash and sanitize dishes and clean all parts of work area and equipment
  • Perform general cleaning of dietary department including vents, ovens, and garbage areas
  • Organize stock and make deliveries as needed
