Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior experience in dishwashing and general kitchen cleaning
  • Valid First Aid Certification
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Flexibility and adaptability
  • Obtain/hold required food handling and sanitation licenses and certificates
  • Available for on-call emergency and weekend shift coverage

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Flexibility, adaptability and a positive attitude
  • Prior experience in washing dishes and general cleaning of industrial or restaurant kitchens
  • Obtain and hold required food handling and sanitation licenses and/or certificates
  • Possess valid First Aid Certification and available for on-call emergencies and weekend coverage
  • Ability to understand and follow directions
  • Ability to meet standards for health, safety, and excellence

Job Duties

  • Take beverage and meal orders from residents
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff to serve meals according to standards
  • Address any issues or concerns related to dining service
  • Maintain all safety and sanitation rules and regulations
  • Clean floors, empty trash cans, and stock food supplies
  • Wash and sanitize dishes and clean work area and equipment
  • Perform general cleaning of dietary department including vents, ovens, vent hoods, and outside garbage area
  • Organize stock and make deliveries as needed
