Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required unless waived
  • Six months of customer service experience required
  • Food and Beverage experience preferred
  • Cash handling experience preferred
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screen
  • Ability to pass background investigation
  • Ability to obtain and maintain gaming license
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Willingness to work in noisy, smoky, and variable temperature environments.

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED unless waived by Human Resources
  • Six months of customer service experience
  • Food and Beverage experience preferred
  • Cash handling experience preferred
  • Knowledge of restaurant operations and food service principles
  • Knowledge of basic math and arithmetic
  • Knowledge of menu items including entrees, sides, beverages, wines, and desserts
  • Knowledge of proper hand and tray service
  • Skill in providing excellent customer service
  • Skill in utilizing computer equipment and POS systems
  • Ability to create a friendly atmosphere and demonstrate excellent customer service
  • Ability to operate a cash register
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Ability to interact and maintain good relationships with diverse individuals
  • Ability to work independently and meet time lines
  • Ability to interpret written and oral instructions effectively.

Job Duties

  • Prepare food and beverage items according to prep sheets and standard recipes
  • Prepare and display food and merchandise following ServSafe and regulatory standards
  • Maintain inventory, supplies, and prepare food based on business volumes using par levels
  • Utilize Point of Sale (POS) system fully
  • Adhere to cash handling practices according to Casino-wide policies
  • Count cash, separate charge slips, input cash tips into tip pouches immediately
  • Ensure dining area tables are cleaned and maintained during shifts
  • Clean shelves, counters, windows, and maintain clean and sanitary work areas and equipment
  • Set up and maintain stations for food preparation
  • Keep display cases and refrigerators clean and stocked
  • Maintain organized work areas for guest interaction and safety
  • Answer guest questions regarding food venues, beverage service, and Casino related information
  • Properly bag or package purchases for guests
  • Greet customers and take food and drink orders following service standards
  • Serve food orders promptly and professionally
  • Stay attentive to customers during dining experience
  • Memorize menu items, recipes, and specials
  • Maintain cleanliness in restaurant, wait stations, and kitchen service areas
  • Complete restocking and cleaning by performing opening and closing side work
  • Control guest checks according to check-use procedures
  • Receive accurate guest payments and safeguard restaurant assets
  • Attend pre-meal and departmental meetings to gain product and service knowledge
  • Respond to customer inquiries promptly and knowledgeably
  • Report maintenance or housekeeping issues to management
  • Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor
  • Follow safety and customer service guidelines
  • Contribute to team efforts and accomplish related results
  • Practice responsible alcohol service
  • Promote special offerings
  • Use upselling skills
  • Maintain proper health, sanitation, and food handling principles
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
