Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED unless waived by Human Resources
- six months of customer service experience
- food and beverage and cash handling experience preferred
- successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol screening
- background investigation clearance
- ability to obtain and maintain a gaming license
- physical ability to talk, hear, stand, walk, use hands and arms
- frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds
- visual acuity including close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and color vision
- willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- ability to work in noisy, smoky, hot, and cold environments
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- six months of customer service experience preferred
- food and beverage service experience
- cash handling experience
- knowledge of restaurant operations and food service principles
- familiarity with basic math and arithmetic
- comprehensive knowledge of menu items including entrees, sides, beverages, alcoholic beverages, wine, and desserts
- skill in providing excellent customer service
- skill in operating POS systems and computer equipment
- ability to create a friendly atmosphere
- effective verbal and written communication skills
- ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- ability to maintain professional relationships with coworkers
- knowledge of health, sanitation, and food safety standards
Job Duties
- Prepare all food and beverage items according to prep sheets and standard recipes
- prepare and display food and merchandise in compliance with ServSafe and regulatory standards
- maintain inventory and supplies based on business volumes and par levels
- utilize the Point of Sale (POS) system proficiently
- handle cash and follow casino-wide food and beverage cash-handling policies
- count cash, separate charge slips, and input cash tips into tip pouches immediately
- ensure dining area tables are cleaned and properly maintained throughout shifts
- clean shelves, counters, windows, and maintain a sanitary work area and food display equipment
- set up and maintain stations for food preparation
- stock and clean display cases and refrigerators
- maintain an organized work area for guest interaction and safety
- provide knowledgeable answers to guest questions about food venues, beverage service, and casino information
- properly bag or package guest purchases
- greet and take orders in proper sequence and service standards
- serve food accurately and professionally
- attend to guest needs throughout dining experience
- memorize menu items and specials to answer questions and make recommendations
- maintain cleanliness standards in restaurant and kitchen areas
- complete restocking and cleaning duties during opening and closing work
- control guest checks and document required information
- process accurate guest payments safely
- participate in pre-meal and departmental meetings
- respond promptly to customer inquiries and comments
- report maintenance and housekeeping issues to management
- exhibit professional appearance and a friendly demeanor
- follow safety and customer service policies
- contribute to team efforts and achieve results
- practice responsible alcohol service
- promote special menu offerings
- use upselling techniques
- maintain knowledge of menu and wine and spirits for fine dining
- uphold health, sanitation and food handling principles
- perform other duties as needed
