Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior bartending or serving experience preferred
  • ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
  • excellent customer service skills
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to stand for long periods
  • ability to multitask
  • willingness to learn about Asian cuisine
  • obtain Basset/Food Handler's Certification within 45 days
  • legal eligibility to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in bartending or serving preferred
  • ability to work in fast-paced environments
  • strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • familiarity with point-of-sale systems
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • willingness to obtain Basset/Food Handler's Certification
  • ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently
  • polite and friendly attitude
  • teamwork oriented
  • basic knowledge or interest in Asian cuisine advantageous

Job Duties

  • Prepare restaurant tables with special attention to sanitation and order
  • attend to customers upon entrance with a friendly greeting
  • take over host's position if unavailable to seat customers
  • present restaurant menus and help customers select food and beverages
  • take and serve orders with communication to FOH, BOH, and Executive Sushi Chef
  • take orders in-person, online, and over the phone managing flow of in-house food
  • repeat orders for guest confirmation and process payments in point-of-sale
  • correctly enter orders in point-of-sale following established guidelines and adapt to adjustments
  • package food and beverages remembering special requests
  • answer questions and make recommendations for complementary products
  • collaborate with other servers and kitchen/bar staff
  • deal with complaints positively and escalate issues
  • issue bills and accept payments
  • obtain Basset/Food Handler's Certification within 45 days
