Job Requirements

  • Entry level bartending experience required
  • One year minimum of customer service experience preferably within the Food & Beverage industry
  • Excellent written communication and presentation skills
  • Highly motivated and flexible, possessing the ability to take initiative
  • Flexible schedule, able to work mornings, nights, holidays and weekends
  • Experience in a luxury world-class hotel or equivalent

Job Duties

  • Verify identification and age requirements of customers
  • Mix traditional and creative cocktails
  • Process payment from customers
  • Clean glasses and bar utensil
  • Make suggestions based on customer tastes and preferences
  • Record and balance cash receipts and prepare cash deposits
  • Open and maintain tabs throughout their shift
  • Build a rapport with regular customers to create a positive atmosphere
  • Receive and take guest orders and process in a timely manner through whatever systems are currently used in the restaurant
  • Prepare and serve meal accompaniments to guests
  • Perform side work
  • Open bottled wine for guests
  • Bus and set tables, as needed
  • Perform set up and breakdown of various stations (i.e., deli, dessert, coffee, espresso)
  • Assist with orders to go, as needed
  • Seat guests and help with answering phones as business demands
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Must have food and wine knowledge for pairing suggestions
  • Up sells established menu items or specials to maximize food and beverage revenues
  • Communicate with support crew and management
