Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience as a server in luxury or high-end dining
  • Food Handler Card and Alcohol Awareness certification
  • Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong knowledge of Japanese cuisine is preferred
  • Ability to stand for extended periods during shifts
  • Must be able to work within a union environment with open availability
  • Commitment to delivering Forbes 5-Star level service
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a server preferably in a luxury hotel or high-end restaurant
  • Strong knowledge of Japanese cuisine and omakase-style service
  • Ability to engage guests personally and remember preferences
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high service standards
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for professional guest interaction
  • Valid Food Handler Card
  • Alcohol Awareness certification
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Greet guests warmly using their names when possible
  • Respond promptly and efficiently to guest requests
  • Demonstrate genuine interest in guest needs by providing expert recommendations
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of the menu, daily specials, and promotions
  • Take food and beverage orders accurately and input them into the point-of-sale system
  • Retrieve and deliver food and beverages ensuring high quality and presentation
  • Monitor guest satisfaction throughout the meal and address concerns promptly
  • Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in compliance with all regulations
  • Keep the service station well-stocked
  • Clear and clean tables ensuring a seamless transition between guests
