Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience as a server in luxury or high-end dining
- Food Handler Card and Alcohol Awareness certification
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong knowledge of Japanese cuisine is preferred
- Ability to stand for extended periods during shifts
- Must be able to work within a union environment with open availability
- Commitment to delivering Forbes 5-Star level service
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience as a server preferably in a luxury hotel or high-end restaurant
- Strong knowledge of Japanese cuisine and omakase-style service
- Ability to engage guests personally and remember preferences
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high service standards
- Excellent interpersonal skills for professional guest interaction
- Valid Food Handler Card
- Alcohol Awareness certification
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
- Greet guests warmly using their names when possible
- Respond promptly and efficiently to guest requests
- Demonstrate genuine interest in guest needs by providing expert recommendations
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of the menu, daily specials, and promotions
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and input them into the point-of-sale system
- Retrieve and deliver food and beverages ensuring high quality and presentation
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout the meal and address concerns promptly
- Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in compliance with all regulations
- Keep the service station well-stocked
- Clear and clean tables ensuring a seamless transition between guests
