Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • minimum one year experience preferred in fine dining hospitality or full-service senior living
  • current CPR and First Aid certification
  • ServeSafe certification
  • local health department food handler card
  • ability to communicate effectively
  • organizational and time management skills
  • good judgment and problem-solving abilities
  • able to attend pre-meal meetings and comply with safety protocols
  • capable of performing physical tasks required in a dining services environment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED

  • ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally
  • competent in organization and time management
  • demonstrate good judgment, problem solving, and decision-making skills
  • able to multitask and prioritize duties

Job Duties

  • Cultivate a warm and hospitable environment by making personal connections with residents and guests and treating all with professionalism and respect
  • take and deliver food orders in a timely manner
  • bus and reset tables per company standards
  • clean and maintain the dining room and bistro to the highest standards per company guidelines
  • complete required side work as assigned
  • attend pre-meal meeting to gain knowledge of the meal
  • maintain knowledge of menu items and provide general descriptions
  • assist residents with menu selections and respond professionally to questions about menu items
  • use Sunrise systems per guidelines for order taking and meal delivery to ensure accuracy
  • practice safe food handling procedures at all times in accordance with all applicable laws and Sunrise policies
  • comply with occupational health and safety regulations and practice safety procedures including PPE, fire extinguishers, Safety Data Sheets, and Lockout Tagout
  • perform additional dining service duties as assigned, such as washing and sanitizing dishes and utensils, sweeping and sanitizing work areas, preparing and serving light meals, and assisting with food preparation and plating
  • participate actively as a member of the team and commit to working toward team goals
  • demonstrate the Team Member Credo in daily interactions
  • commit to serving residents and guests through the Principles of Service
  • contribute to engagement programs and attend regular meetings
  • maintain compliance with required training and perform other duties as assigned
