Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of one year experience preferred in fine dining hospitality and/or full-service senior living
  • Must maintain CPR and First Aid certification
  • Must maintain ServeSafe certification
  • Must hold Local Health Department Food Handler Card
  • Ability to comply with all federal, state, provincial, and local food safety laws and regulations
  • Ability to follow occupational health and safety regulations including PPE use
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and medical evaluations
  • Ability to participate in required training programs
  • Ability to perform duties assigned by community leadership
  • Ability to use Sunrise systems for order management and meal delivery
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Maintain required certifications including CPR and First Aid, ServeSafe, and Local Health Department Food Handler Card
  • Possess effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrate good judgment, problem solving, and decision-making skills

  • Ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Commitment to teamwork and collaboration
  • Ability to learn and use Sunrise systems for order taking and meal delivery
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service to seniors.

Job Duties

  • Cultivate a warm and hospitable environment by making personal connections with residents and guests and treating all with professionalism and respect
  • Take and deliver food orders in a timely manner
  • Bus and reset tables per company standards
  • Clean and maintain the dining room and bistro to the highest standards per company guidelines
  • Complete required side work as assigned
  • Attend pre-meal meeting to gain knowledge of the meal
  • Maintain knowledge of menu items and provide general descriptions
  • Assist residents with menu selections and respond professionally to questions about menu items
  • Use Sunrise systems per guidelines for order taking and meal delivery to ensure accuracy
  • Practice safe food handling procedures in accordance with all relevant laws and company policies
  • Comply with occupational health and safety regulations and practice safety procedures including use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), fire extinguishers, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and Lockout Tagout procedures
  • Perform other dining services duties such as washing and sanitizing dishes, sweeping work areas, sanitizing production areas, emptying trash, preparing and serving light meals, assisting with food preparation and plating when necessary
  • Participate actively as a member of a team and commit to working toward team goals
  • Demonstrate the Team Member Credo and commit to serving residents and guests through the company's Principles of Service
  • Contribute to engagement programs and attend regular meetings
  • Maintain compliance in assigned required training and all training required by regulatory authorities
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
