Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of one year experience preferred in fine dining hospitality and/or full-service senior living
  • Maintain certifications and ongoing training including CPR and First Aid, ServeSafe, and Local Health Department Food Handler Card
  • Ability to participate in safety training and comply with safety procedures
  • Ability to use Sunrise systems for order taking and meal delivery
  • Commitment to adhering to food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as cleaning, bussing tables, and assisting with food preparation
  • Willingness to work as part of a team and participate in meetings and training
  • As applicable, team members who drive Sunrise vehicles must comply with safety and regulatory duties

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of one year experience preferred in fine dining hospitality and/or full-service senior living

  • Competent organizational and time management abilities

Job Duties

  • Cultivate a warm and hospitable environment by making personal connections with residents and guests and treating all with professionalism and respect
  • Take and deliver food orders in a timely manner
  • Bus and reset tables per company standards
  • Clean and maintain the dining room and bistro to the highest standards per company guidelines
  • Complete required side work as assigned
  • Attend pre-meal meeting to gain knowledge of the meal
  • Maintain knowledge of menu items and can provide general descriptions
  • Assist residents with menu selections and respond professionally to questions about menu items
  • Use Sunrise systems per guidelines for order taking and meal delivery to ensure accuracy
  • Practice safe food handling procedures at all times in accordance with all federal, state/provincial, and local laws, regulations, and guidance and Sunrise policies and procedures
  • Comply with national/provincial regulations pertaining to occupational health and safety and Risk Management programs and policies, adhere to safety rules and regulations, and practice safety procedures at all times including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), fire extinguishers, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and Lockout Tagout procedures
  • Responsible for performing other Dining Services duties when assigned by community leadership including washing and sanitizing dishes, sweeping work areas, preparing and serving light meals, assisting with food preparation and plating
  • Participate actively as a member of a team and commit to working toward team goals
  • Demonstrate in daily interactions with others, our Team Member Credo
  • Commit to serving our residents and guests through our Principles of Service
  • Contribute to the overall engagement programs and processes
  • Attend regular meetings including Town Hall and Department Team meetings
  • Maintain compliance in assigned required training including state/province or other regulating authority training
  • Perform other duties as assigned
