Job Requirements

  • One - two years industry experience in server capacity, preferably in fine dining establishment
  • Utah state approved liquor handler's certification obtained within 90 days of hire
  • ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds
  • good communication, organization and concentration skills
  • ability to work cooperatively with other servers and department staff
  • knowledge of house policies and state regulations for liquor and smoking
  • availability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Set up kitchen and dining room work areas in a timely, thorough and consistent manner
  • maintain all work areas in a neat, efficient manner during service
  • present a knowledgeable, professional demeanor at all times during service
  • prioritize, organize and maintain efficiency as work volume fluctuates
  • use high level technical service practices
  • display knowledgeable command of menu items and products offered in assigned outlet
  • know hours, styles, and menu items for all department outlets
  • communicate effectively and respectfully with all co-workers including kitchen staff
  • ensure adherence to all house policies and state regulations for liquor service and smoking
  • collect payment and signed guest checks accurately and promptly
  • reconcile all receipts, sales reporting and shift close paperwork consistently
  • clean up, break down and reset work station and dining room efficiently
