Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years of serving experience required
  • willingness to obtain TIPS certification within 30 days, paid by The Vendue
  • ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • frequent reaching, bending, lifting, and carrying trays
  • ability to lift up to 30 pounds
  • manual dexterity to handle serving equipment and POS systems
  • must meet South Carolina minimum age requirements to serve alcohol

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years of serving experience required
  • high-volume experience strongly preferred
  • passion for hospitality and guest satisfaction
  • ability to stay calm, organized, and efficient in a fast-paced environment
  • strong communication and teamwork skills
  • problem-solving mindset with the ability to handle guest concerns professionally
  • attention to cleanliness, food safety, and alcohol service standards
  • ability to learn quickly and work independently when needed

Job Duties

  • Greet guests promptly and create a welcoming, upbeat first impression
  • take food and beverage orders accurately and answer menu questions with confidence
  • deliver drinks and food quickly while maintaining quality and presentation standards
  • check in with guests throughout service to ensure an exceptional experience
  • present checks and process payments accurately and efficiently
  • maintain clean, organized tables and service stations during and after service
  • complete side work such as stocking, cleaning, and resetting tables
  • support teammates and assist other departments as needed
  • help with special events or banquets when scheduled
  • serve as a knowledgeable resource for hotel amenities and local Charleston attractions
