Job Requirements

  • One year experience as a waiter or waitress in a restaurant or food service establishment
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • High school diploma GED certification or equivalent preferred
  • Must successfully complete New Mexico Food Handlers course upon hire
  • Must obtain and maintain New Mexico Alcohol Server's License upon hire
  • Must be able to pass a stringent background investigation
  • Must submit to pre-employment and random drug screening
  • Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds
  • Must have flexible work schedule including weekends and holidays
  • Must have punctual and regular attendance
  • Must be able to work in both indoor and outdoor conditions with exposure to extreme temperatures and inclement weather
  • Must be able to perform physical activities including balancing climbing crawling crouching feeling finger dexterity grasping hearing kneeling lifting pulling pushing reaching seeing walking sitting standing stooping and talking

Job Qualifications

  • One year experience as a waiter or waitress in a restaurant or food service establishment
  • Knowledge of menu offerings including ingredients cooking methods and presentation
  • Knowledge of beverage selection including wines cocktails beers and non-alcoholic options
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously such as taking orders serving tables and processing payments
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately
  • Strong commitment to the organization
  • Ability to deal effectively and professionally with the general public and attend to customers needs
  • Ability to adapt in fast paced environments maintaining composure and professionalism
  • Maintain highest standard of personal hygiene
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations and pass basic math test
  • Knowledge of minimum temperature requirements for food and drink preservation
  • Knowledge of tribal federal state and local sanitary regulations for food and drink products
  • Ability to work harmoniously and professionally with coworkers and supervisors

Job Duties

  • Provides excellent customer service always establishing guest perception as exceptional hospitality and friendliness
  • Manages orders ensuring accuracy timeliness and adherence to special requests while coordinating with kitchen and bar staff
  • Promotes menu items specials and promotions to enhance guest satisfaction and increase revenue
  • Adheres to laws and regulations governing alcohol service including age verification and responsible beverage service practices
  • Monitors guests for intoxication intervenes tactfully and notifies supervisors
  • Maintains thorough knowledge of property information including restaurants entertainment lounges marketing promotions and local points of interest
  • Processes payments accurately handling cash credit card transactions
  • Performs opening and closing side work duties as assigned
  • Participates in daily stand-up meetings to understand property information
  • Follows all food safety hygiene and responsible alcohol service regulations
  • Works as part of a team assisting fellow members fostering a positive environment
  • Maintains cleanliness presentation and organization of dining areas adhering to food safety regulations
  • Communicates guest issues to supervisors and managers appropriately
  • Reports to work punctually and regularly according to schedule
