- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and interpret bar graphs

- Previous food service or customer service experience is a plus but willing to train the right candidate

Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room and take all food orders in an efficient manner following the established steps of service
- Demonstrate a complete understanding of all menu items and ingredients
- Advise guests on appropriate combinations of food and drinks and accommodate reasonable requests
- Communicate directly with back of the house staff to ensure orders are delivered correctly and special requests are accommodated
- Exhibit exceptional communication skills, flexibility, patience and interest in guests and staff
- Maintain high sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information shared
- Deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
- Follow up periodically to assist with additional needs or requests
- Promptly address and correct complaints or issues and relay information to supervisor
- Ensure dining room and area are properly set-up prior to and after service and keep clean and neat
- May be asked to operate equipment including fire extinguisher, telephone, iced tea/soda machine, soup well, coffee machine
- Collect tickets and follow proper cash handling procedures
- Work alongside staff from other departments for duties and special events
- Perform other duties as assigned
