Job Requirements

  • Experience in a hospitality, service, consumer-facing franchise or related field preferred
  • Must have a positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Ability to follow instructions, assigned tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Always provide friendly service with a smile to guests
  • Flexible schedule with availability days, nights, holidays, and weekend based on the demands of the hotel
  • Must arrive and clock in on time for every shift worked and clock out at the scheduled shift ending time, unless otherwise directed by your immediate manager
  • Never work while clocked out
  • Must clock in/out for breaks at the designated time on your schedule
  • Must provide sufficient notice as directed by your supervisor when calling out for a scheduled shift
  • Ability to stand upright on feet for sustained periods
  • Ability to walk long distances between work sites
  • Capability to perform repetitive motions of wrists, hands, and/or fingers
  • Ability to lift certain laundry supplies, linens, and other items
  • Must be able to read, write, understand and communicate effectively using English

Job Duties

  • Greet guests happily upon arrival and throughout their stay with a smile
  • Use guests' names when possible to enhance guest relations
  • Work together with team members to contribute to great guest satisfaction scores
  • Handle challenging guest situations with hospitality and a sense of urgency
  • Maintain strong knowledge of hotel features and amenities
  • Support all groups and events at the hotel
  • Answer incoming calls with friendly service using the approved greeting
  • Keep all workspaces, front and back of the house, clean and well-organized
  • Participate in cleaning guest rooms and public spaces as needed
  • Greet guests while cleaning to uphold hospitality standards
  • Complete all operational checklists accurately and on time each shift
  • Submit accurate shift handover reports
  • Wear a clean, approved uniform, be well-groomed, and display a nametag while smiling
  • Communicate clearly, honestly, and professionally with team members
  • Demonstrate a can-do attitude and willingness to stretch beyond traditional roles
  • Collaborate with all team members to create a welcoming environment
  • Provide prompt and friendly food and beverage service
  • Greet guests and describe menu options clearly
  • Deliver hot food items from kitchen to tables quickly
  • Input orders into POS system and handle payments accurately
  • Prepare coffee and specialty drinks
  • Clear, clean and reset tables
  • Observe and respond to guest needs
  • Complete inventory prep sheets and allowed side work
  • Maintain knowledge of menu and hotel amenities
  • Escort guests to tables when needed
  • Ensure compliance with food safety policies
  • Assist in keeping the restaurant and surrounding areas clean
