Job Requirements
- Obtain a serving permit to serve alcoholic beverages
- Ability to stand for up to 5 hours
- Ability to safely lift and easily maneuver trays weighing 20 to 25 pounds
- Basic knowledge of dining room and service procedures
- Basic math skills
- Good communication skills
- Ability to operate a point-of-sale system

- Be able to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of guests
- Have basic knowledge of dining room and service procedures and functions
- Possess basic math skills
- Ability to handle money and operate a point-of-sale system
- Be able to work in a standing position for long periods
- Able to safely lift and maneuver trays weighing up to 20 to 25 pounds
Job Duties
- Welcome and greet guests
- Inform guests of specials and menu changes
- Make recommendations guests will enjoy
- Answer questions about food, beverages and restaurant services
- Take food and beverage orders and enter into the point-of-sale system
- Deliver food and beverages promptly to guests
- Perform side work at start and end of shifts
- Maintain clean service areas
- Monitor guests' dining experience and ensure satisfaction
- Prepare final bill, present check, accept payment and process transactions
- Assist fellow servers and bus persons as needed
- Thank guests for their visit and invite them to return
- Fill in as needed to ensure smooth restaurant operations
